Swim England Hertfordshire are sad to pass on the devastating news that Ann Huntingford, a coach and long-standing part of the club, has died at the age of 58 in a horse riding accident.
Ann was part of Verulam for about 25 years. Her daughters Emily and Victoria (Tori) started swimming with Verulam at the age of 4 and both went on to be volunteers for the Club and then became Coaches and Tori is still coaching with the club.
Ann taught at Verulam for many years and in addition she mentored swimmers who wanted to teach with the Club so that they could gain their appropriate qualifications. She also helped to train them for the Reach and Rescue courses.
She will be very sadly missed.
