Congratulations to the players in the Watford Water Polo Club Open/Male U15 team who were silver medallists in the Swim England Water Polo National Age Group Championships 2025 held at Manchester Aquatics Centre on 15th /16th November.
On Saturday, in the group stage matches they convincingly beat teams from Caledonia, Barnet and Newton Abbot to win Group D. Then on Sunday, faced Exeter, the Group C winners in a very exciting match. The teams were level on goal scores at the end of each quarter and remained level until almost the very end of the match, when Watford scored the winning goal. This meant that they went forward to the gold medal match against City of Manchester.
Throughout the weekend they played really well and were only beaten by City of Manchester in the final.
Goalkeeper Jeremy Rotenberg received the Top Goalkeeper Award and the whole Watford team can be proud to be silver medallists.
Well done to the whole team and their coach, Adam Page, for this great performance.
