The Regional Masters Inter-County Event was held on the 9th November 2025 at the Saxon Pool in Biggleswade with only five Counties taking part; Suffolk were unable to join the fun this year, hopefully they can make it next year.
The Inter-Counties is always an enjoyable gala to attend and always a lot of fun. Hertfordshire started very strong and had built up a sizeable lead but gradually Bedfordshire & Essex started to reel us in. By the halfway mark Hertfordshire’s lead had been reduced by some excellent swimming from Bedfordshire & Essex .
The relays were very exciting and some very close finishes. Hertfordshire stayed strong and fought off the challenge from Bedfordshire & Essex to run out as victors and worthy winners. This was our first win since 2011 but was worth the wait because we finished a very creditable 10th in the National rankings.
