At the Swim England East Region Annual Council Meeting on Saturday 14 September, two of the county’s volunteers were recognised for their long service to the sport.
The Jeff Cook Salver, Swim England East Region’s highest award, was presented to Derek Milton of Welwyn Garden Swimming Club. The Jeff Cook Salver is awarded to the individual, team or club who has made a significant contribution to the sport of swimming within the Region.
The Regional Silver Pin, presented for long and/or significant contribution to swimming in any discipline, was presented to Marion Henthorn of Beaumont Diving Academy and Derek Milton.
