Entries close on Monday 15th June for Swim England East Region Open Water Championships taking place on Sunday 12th July 2026 at the stunning Whitlingham Country Park NR14 8TR.
This is one of the best open water venues in the UK – a beautiful, unspoilt lake with excellent facilities. It’s the perfect setting for a fantastic family day out, with plenty of space on the grassy viewing area to enjoy the buzz and excitement of the event.
Why Enter?
- The top 5 swimmers in each qualifying age group event will qualify for the National Championships.
- Swimmers compete for both regional and county honours in the same race.
- A strong performance could mean winning a regional medal (e.g. 3rd in the East Region) and a county medal (e.g. 1st in Hertfordshire) – two medals from one swim!
- Receive a coveted Swim England Hertfordshire Open Water swim cap.
Hertfordshire swimmers will be competing against swimmers from all other counties in the East Region for regional places.
