Lindsay ‘proud and privileged’ to spearhead dedicated team to support coaches

A new dedicated team to help support coaches across all aquatic disciplines has been created by Swim England.

It will be spearheaded by Lindsay Trimmings, who is taking on the role of head of coaching after eight years working with the national governing body.

Lindsay, who was previously Swim England coach development manager, will oversee a three-year strategic plan to offer support to the coaching workforce from grassroots through to the elite level.

She will be joined by Lisa Wright, as coach engagement officer, while a new coach development manager will be appointed in due course.

Lindsay said: ”We’re really excited that Swim England has chosen over the next few years to really invest in the development of our coaching workforce.

“I’m very passionate about coaching. I come from a coaching background in swimming and I still have got lots to learn about swimming but also even more to learn about the other disciplines.

“But I’m really committed and impassioned by doing that so I’m really looking forward to it.
