Hertfordshire Coaches’ Support Network

Saturday 9th January 2021 – 1-2pm

After what has been an extremely challenging year for everyone, swimmer and coach welfare has never been so front and centre of our minds. With loss of pool time, national lockdowns and the navigation of ever tighter tiered systems, this has truly been a year that has tested us all.

With this in mind, the county has been keen to facilitate a coach discussion, with the sole purpose of sparking a line of dialogue between clubs to share in their challenges and triumphs in the current situation, without an ‘agenda’ set by the county. This will be a conversation led by coaches – for coaches.

With so many coaches moving on from the county, alongside many new coaches taking on new head coaches’ posts, the networking session aims to be as much as a ‘Meet and Greet’ as it is an opportunity for coach support and wellbeing.

With his experience of running the regional coach conversations, Kevin Pickard will be present to support the conversation and to share his experiences of the challenges being felt both regionally and nationally.

We hope this will be a useful opportunity for our county to talk and extend hands of friendship in these unprecedented times and make our new members to the coaching network in the county feel both welcome and supported.

If you could let us know if you have a coach/coaches in your club who would like to attend this then please let us know as soon as possible.

The Zoom information and password will be sent out the day of the meeting via email.
